Recycled Tarp 'Iguape Messenger Bag'

from 19.00

The Iguape (e-GWA-peh) Messenger Bag is what you get when Ernest Hemingway and Indian Jones design a laptop/messenger bag. The weathered beauty of this bag combined with the efficient, over-the-shoulder, courier-style make it unstoppable. It's simply one hot briefcase-backpack-messenger-diaper bag! Diaper bag? Oh yeah! You can use this bag for just about anything!

Don't forget that no two are alike.  Although the overall look is the same, please keep in mind that the patches and colors do vary.

Approximate Dimensions: 11.5" high × 14" wide × 2.5" deep

A Padded Laptop Insert is also available.

It can accommodate up to a 15" LCD laptop, or when turned inside-out fits a 14" LCD laptop. Better yet, fold the insert in half to hold an iPad in one side and a wireless keyboard in the other!  Unlike the Brazil-made bags and hats, this accessory is made in the USA and stitched from stain-resistant, reclaimed fabric remnants, therefore no two will look alike and will vary based on the gender-neutral fabric remnant used (either neutral solids or handsome striped patterns).

Handmade in a small, rural town in Brazil, from recycled canvas tarps that once stretched across the beds of cross-country cargo trucks hauling open freight.  Real Deal Brazil upcycles discarded Brazilian cargo tarps in a effort to cut down on waste, and because they happen to look really cool!

The canvas in these hats and bags has most likely traveled from the Amazon to Sao Paulo and back again. Slogged through deluges of blinding rain, baked and broiled in scalding heat, whipped by harsh salt winds, assaulted by road debris and sometimes even stamped in Portuguese with waterproof black ink.  There's nothing you can do to these one-of-a-kind bags and hats that hasn't already been done.  So don't worry about taking care of a Real Deal Brazil bag or hat - it will take care of you!
