Rustic Clay Tile Wall Sconce
Taressa George
Kalalou came to life in 1984 when owners Doug and Susan Williams traveled to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and encountered the beautiful handmade baskets being sold in the markets. They promptly turned a vacation into a vocation and then into a viable industry and dependable support for their many artisans and their communities through the Doug and Susan's Kids Foundation. The sales of Kalalou products pay for doctors and medical supplies at Sister Clara's Clinic in Haiti, build schools and provide school uniforms in Honduras, and build homes and provide food for children in Colombia.
A simple terracotta roof tile has been cleverly repurposed and turned into a rustic wall sconce. 19" high, the sconce hangs from a recycled wire hook and holds a pillar candle. Pretty in pairs. Best for use outdoors. Chocolate brown or turquoise wash.
